“POP!” Mandy was off with the sound of the starting gun!

After a short sprint, Mandy glanced quickly over her shoulder. Marty was still waiting at the blue line. How about that? Maybe this race was going to be fair after all.

And if it was a fair race, Mandy knew she had a chance to win.

10K - ten kilometers, cross country. And in this case it was really across country. Coach Roberts had dropped both runners off about six miles from the school track finish line.

Donna's Turn to Watch

Author's Note: Just another silly, fast-paced quickie. It won’t win a Pulitzer - but might evoke a smile.

Donna was feeling a little confrontational. Her brothers were hogging the television even though they knew that her favorite show, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, was on. “It’s a repeat,” Paul had said. “We know you already saw that show, anyways. We’re going to watch Judge Judy.” But it was Donna’s turn to watch and her brothers were just being jerks.

Author's Note: This is the third and last chapter (Three) of “He’s No Dummy”. My “one hit wonders” are funny and short (about three page) stories that I hope make you smile - “coffee break” stories, as one of the commenters aptly said. I strung three of them together here because, well, I loved the Su Lee character and felt she needed more explanation. I’ll continue the saga in “She’s No Dummy” as I try to get back to the One Hit format.

Ben gazed out of his office window. The street was empty except for the lone car that whizzed by ever few minutes or so. Pretty typical, considering it was 3AM on a Tuesday night.

Then the phone rang. Ben stared at the phone for a few seconds, surprised that it was ringing at this late hour. He picked it up. “Ben’s Bondage Adventures. Can I help you?”

“Yes, I’d like to sign up for an adventure, please.” The girl’s voice seemed meek and hesitant.

Jeff turned his gray Impala off of the main highway, onto a well-packed dirt road leading behind the hill. The Impala’s headlights were all that lit up the lonely, bumpy stretch of road.

“Where is this party?” asked Jen, Jeff’s long time girlfriend, from her perch in the passenger seat.

“Ken’s old farm house. It’s perfect for rowdy parties. No neighbors. No cops.”

After a short drive, Jeff pulled into the last space at the end of a dark, unlit field that was doubling as a guest parking lot.

Last Minute Costume - The Sequel

Author's Note: Ann and Jen are back in this sequel to my story “Last Minute Costume”. Although this story may make more sense if you read that one first, it’s not a requirement.

Jen tightened the leather belt molding the plastic garbage bag “dress” about her waist one more notch and turned toward the door. She took a deep breath and turned the knob. “Here I come!” she shouted before stepping out of the bathroom into the master bedroom.

Tattoo You

Author's Note: I don’t have any tattoos, so if you’re a tattoo fan please forgive me if I butcher some of the terminology, and feel free to offer corrections in the comment section. I’m sure the tattoo-less readership will appreciate your input it as well. - OHW

Martha was four years old when she fell in love with the angel tattoo on her mother’s shoulder. The eagle tattooed on her dad’s back was her second favorite. As she grew, little Martha went out of her way to view tattoos. She often walked up to tattooed strangers and asked them to share the stories behind their skin decorations.

“You really could use a shower” said Sue as Bob walked into the house.

“I could really use a beer” Bob replied.

“No beer till you take a shower.” Sue blocked Bob’s access to the fridge.

“You really don’t want to get between me and my Miller Light” replied Bob.

Sue put her hands on her hips and stood her ground. “Shower! Now!”

Sue stood quietly in the shower. The endless stream of soothing, warm water rushed over her gorgeous naked body - in much the same manner it had the previous hour. Sue’s hands were tightly bound behind her back with a bright white piece of insulated electric cord, as were her ankles.
