Erica's Capture

Erica groaned into the thick rubber ball that filled her mouth as she stumbled across the room, the short chain between the tight metal cuffs on her ankles forcing her to take halting steps. The grip of her unseen captor was tight on her bare upper arm. The rough black bag that covered her head was still damp from the many tears she had cried during the long drive spent locked in the trunk of her own car. Her wrists hurt where the un-giving handcuffs bit into them behind her back, chafed from her earlier, desperate struggles to escape. Her ankles were spared some of that discomfort by the white cotton socks that protected them. ...

European Nightmare

Author's Note: This is my first story and I hope you enjoy reading it. I would dearly love to improve my writing and so if you guys have any feedback or suggestions whatsoever I’d be delighted to hear them, positive or negative. Many thanks. - Josh Chapter 1 Olivia smiled as she stared into man’s exotic brown eyes, only half listening as he spoke. She was lost in her own world, mesmerised by how he looked at her as if she were the only girl in the world. He was talking to them all, his eyes taking in each one so his look was only a few moments. But it felt like hours. Olivia couldn’t remember why they were here or how they had started talking to him but it didn’t seem to matter. Her classmates, the trip, her studies and especially the time were all forgotten, so engrossed was she by his stories and his astonishingly handsome face. She couldn’t help but play with her hair as she stared at his light brown features, his chiselled jaw, his big brown eyes, and looking down, his bulging biceps and t-shirt worn stretched to its limit. Biting her lip slightly, she imagined what was underneath, thoughts of spending the night with him fluttering through her head. She was not alone either. All three girls were entranced by the mysterious man. ...

Experiment In Exquisite Excess

Author's Note: Was it a surreal dream or bizarre reality? You decide. I found a fairly convenient parking space early Friday evening, just a couple of blocks from the Benedum theatre where I was to meet friends in about an hour for a performance of “Wicked.” I thought I’d stop into a small sidestreet bar for a couple of quick ones before showtime. It was a particularly dark and sleazy place. Almost a retro throwback to a 50’s dive bar out of a film noir, only without the blue haze of cigarette smoke. It was though I walked through some twilight zone time portal, even the hefty female bartender was a retro garbed artifact from 70 years back. I ordered a hardboiled 50’s rye straight, with a short draft. No miniature folding parasols in this joint. She gave me disturbingly sinister smile when she sat down my drink and ignored my my attempts at small talk. The rye was firey and raw going down and I ordered another and thats when I started feeling peculiar.I downed the second drink quickly hoping it would knock away my sudden discomfort but thats all I remembered till I awoke briefly in the heavy Mercedes. We seemed to be on 5th Avenue heading toward Oakland. The interior of the black Mercedes was a gaudy red leather. The heavyset men on both sides of me wore black suits and dark glasses. I passed out again. Next I woke up and was strapped to a gurney and being wheeled down what looked like a long corridor in a hospital. Had I been injured? I felt heavy and weak. Two white coated orderlies pushed the gurney into an elevator and we seemed to be descending down an endless number of levels. I passed out again. ...

Fantasy and Fate

Author's Note: If you never act to realize a fantasy it will never happen, if you do you may be surprised. 1. Advertising Justin’s home was a mess; he seldom put things away, he only washed dishes when there were no clean ones left, and he only picked up his dirty laundry and washed it when he had nothing left to wear. Perhaps this was in reaction to his upbringing; his parents had been neat freaks; their house was always dusted and clean and everything put tidily away in its proper place. ...

Fantasy Of Ticklish Torment

Author's Note: Hope people enjoy this one! Please rate and comment! People began to leave the bar as the night dragged on. The bar had been abuzz all night, drawing in a crowd from all across the small coastal town to celebrate the new year. Elliot sat in the corner sipping his drink. Guilted into submission by his family, he left his university dorm 50 miles away to come home for Christmas through to the new year. Everyone he knew had either moved -and stayed- away or were off celebrating with their family. His relatives, however, were at some sophisticated party that very much wasn’t his scene, leaving him alone, an outsider in his own hometown. ...

Female Bodyguards

“Freeze.” The tone of his voice was cold and Natalie felt the fear crawling up her spine. One moment, she had shown the man her assortment of drugs, she sold on the streets. Now she was looking at the taser gun in his right hand. When his left hand reached for one of his pants pockets she expected a badge. Maybe he was an officer from the drug department. But instead he showed her a pair of handcuffs and said: “Cuff your hands on your back.” ...

Finders Keepers

Clarissa had always wanted to travel, but as often happens when you live in a small town, your life passes by with the day to day things until you wonder where the time went. As she left the office and got into her car a smile spread across her lips. Glancing at the suitcase in the back seat she started to imagine what awaited her on her cross-country drive. Unusually for one so work obsessed she had decided to take four weeks vacation in one hit, a whole month, she thought. Leaving thoughts of the office behind she put the car into drive, cranked up the radio and set off. ...

First Class Post

Chapter 1 I’ve never got on well with alarm clocks, and this morning was no exception. The annoying mixture of buzzes and beeps coming from the other side of the room was always enough to get me out of bed, no matter how much I wanted to wrap myself in the comforting snugness of my duvet and avoid the real world. But today was a day full of lectures, and my grades would suffer if I missed them. ...

Forty Thousand Or Bust

Author's Note: Apologies to anybody from the Indonesian island of Selaru, this is a fictional story written using feasible geographical correctness. The London fashion industry proved to be incredibly competitive for Lucie when facing her equally attractive rival colleagues. On the outside, a confident party girl from Essex England but on the inside, unnecessarily paranoid about her inferiority and lack of life experience. Because of this she’d made the decision to take a year off and go traveling so as to broaden her mind in the hope to contend with her well travelled rivals when in conversation about the world outside and experiences abroad. ...
