Part I I run my own small business. And by small I mean I have two employees. One is my brother named Rob. He does advertising and sales. The other is Allison. She does accounting and invoicing. I do everything else, which leads to long work nights and a very small social life. When I first started the company it was only Rob and I. Together we were young and bold enough to get the company off the ground. However it was becoming obvious that I was getting burned out trying to keep the books, develop new product lines and do everything else the owner of a small business does. After two years of growth and success the company needed an accountant. I would have preferred to pay a company to do our books however Rob insisted that it would cost too much and that he knew of an impeccable accountant. After several of Rob’s persuasive sales pitches, I tentatively agreed to interview Allison. ...
