Moving Day
Leah finished packing the last of the dishes into the box marked fragile. It had been a hectic past two days getting everything packed. “Finally,” she said while wiping a bead of sweat from her brow, “everything is packed. Now it’s up to the movers.” Leah and her husband, Chris, were moving to his parent’s farm, left to them after they had passed away. They had died in a car accident when a trucker had fallen asleep and crossed the lanes. Chris had taken the news very hard, as expected, but lately he had been feeling better and was returning to his old self. The settlement from the truck company had been very generous and they now had enough to live comfortably on the farm without financial concerns.
